Peter Campbell Has worked in the radio, television, subscription television and digital media industries for more than 20 years. He was Foxtel’s General Manager of Victoria and Executive in Charge of Sport before taking up his position with the AFL in July 2013. AFL Media has grown to become the largest single sport digital property in Australia, with weekly in-season traffic of more than 4.5m Unique Visitors and more than 4m VOD video streams per week to the AFL Network’s suite of websites and Apps. AFL Media houses the AFL’s video production, product and development, publishing, design, photographic and video archive operations, as well as afl.com.au’s editorial and reporting staff – ensuring that a seamless integration lies between all aspects of the game and supporters. Was part of the AFL Executive team which negotiated the recently concluded 2017 – 2022 Broadcast and Digital Rights agreement. That agreement marked Peter’s fourth consecutive AFL broadcast rights negotiations, having been part of the Foxtel team which negotiated subscription television rights for 2002-06 and which involved the creation and launch of the Fox Footy Channel, as well as the subsequent subscription television rights for the 2007-11 seasons and the current agreement for the period 2012-16 which included the re-establishment of the Fox Footy Channel and live coverage of every premiership season game for the first time. His experience also includes negotiation for and heading the coverage of major international sporting events such as the Commonwealth and Olympic Games for which Foxtel was awarded a Logie in 2013 for the Most Outstanding Sporting Broadcast for its coverage of the London Games.
