Margaret is Partner in charge of the Global Strategy Group, having recently returned from 3 years in Japan as the ASPAC head of Management Consulting.
In her 20 plus years experience in management consulting, investment banking and corporate advisory, Margaret has led and been involved in a wide range of transactions including origination, structuring, due diligence and merger integration/separation. She has also led many large-scale and complex strategy, business transformation and change projects in Australia, Europe and Asia, with a focus on financial institutions.
Margaret’s experience covers both formation and design coupled with hands-on implementation and delivery. Her key skills and areas of experience include proactive stakeholder management, board-level experience, strategy design and formulation, business model development (including launching new businesses), design of new operating models and associated service delivery and technology and process changes and implementations, business and operational reviews and performance improvement programmes, organisational design, cultural change and change management. She also has experience in general corporate finance, valuation, restructuring, market entry, feasibility studies and commercial due diligence as well as integration/separation planning and implementation.
Margaret is also a Member of KPMG’s National Executive Committee for Australia in the role of National Managing Partner, Brand & Engagement. This dynamic, evolving portfolio encompasses Marketing, Communications, Corporate Citizenship and Government Relations, and is key to supporting the firm’s strategy and brand positioning
