Barrie-Jon Mather

General Manager - Football @ NSW RUGBY LEAGUE

Barrie-Jon Mather is currently the general manager of football for the NSWRL, after having had a stellar career as an English rugby player in both rugby league and rugby union for both club and on the international stage. Barrie-Jon played for teams such as the Wigan Warriors, Western Reds, and Castleford Tigers as well as having six international caps for both Great Britain and England. He is best known for being the first Great Britain rugby league international player to be capped by England at rugby union.

On 11 June 2009 it was announced Mather would become the RFLs Head of Player Development on 1 July 2009. As part of his role he was also the England team manager. In January 2014 it was announced Mather would become the General Manager, Football of the NSWRL based in Australia, starting in February 2014.
